Assessment of riverbank filtration performance for climatic change and a growing population

Riverbank filtration (RBF) consists of green drinking water production in many regions and is used as a pre-treatment phase. This study investigates the performance RBF Nile delta, Egypt, for climate change population growth scenarios 2030, 2040, 2050. presents new method predicting sharing riverbanks considering three cases: i) river stage controlling levels river, ii) increasing pumping, iii) changing groundwater levels. last scenario achieved by general head MODFLOW model. The results showed that (RBFS) proportion leakage inflow, which decrease due to influence reduced inflow RBFS. In addition, decreasing lowering increase future pumping increased Finally, combining cases decreased RBFS coming years 2050, respectively, more than inflow. show budget good tool investigate compared with MT3D results. technique can reduce cost quality collection analysis; moreover, it will help estimation save time solute transport modeling.
